Tarangire’s elephant superherds, two full days in the Serengeti, and a complete crater floor descent at Ngorongoro — Tanzania’s essential safari in four focused days.

The Northern Circuit is the benchmark by which African safaris are measured. Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire — these are not simply famous names. They represent three of the most biologically distinct and wildlife-rich ecosystems on the continent, each delivering a completely different experience, each capable of standing alone as the highlight of a much longer trip.
Four days is the minimum that does the circuit justice. It allows a full day in Tarangire — where the elephant concentrations are the largest of any park in Tanzania — two complete game drive days in the Serengeti across its central and southern zones, and a full crater floor descent at Ngorongoro without the time pressure of a day trip from Karatu.
What distinguishes a Komteshane Northern Circuit from a standard group tour is the absence of compromise. Your vehicle is private. Your guide is senior and locally raised. Your route is adjusted daily based on wildlife movement intelligence from our ranger network. You decide when to stay with a sighting and when to move. There is no schedule set by anyone else.
Every park fee, conservation levy, game drive, meal and transfer is included. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.
Home to over 4,000 elephants, with herds of 200–300 regularly seen along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees over 1,000 years old.
Real time to search the endless plains for lion, cheetah, and leopard — not just a drive-through, but genuine time to find the big cats.
Africa’s most reliable Big Five destination — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the critically endangered black rhino all live permanently in the crater’s 260 km² caldera.
The definitive introduction to Tanzania's signature safari route — three ecosystems, one seamless itinerary, no long overland detours.
Park fees, conservation levies, fuel, guide, and all meals are included. No gate surprises.
Departing early from your base, enjoy a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the afternoon tracking the park's famous elephant herds along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees estimated to be over 1,000 years old, before overnighting near the park.
Depart Tarangire and drive across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, pausing at the crater rim viewpoint for a first glimpse into the caldera, before continuing on to the Serengeti. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the famous endless plains.
A full day dedicated to the Serengeti's central plains, with morning and afternoon game drives giving real time to search out lion prides, cheetah, and leopard, alongside the resident plains game that gives the park its name. Overnight again in the Serengeti.
Depart the Serengeti and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across the caldera floor, your best chance to see the complete Big Five in a single day, including the critically endangered black rhino. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin your return journey to Arusha or Moshi.
