3 Days / 2 Night
Arusha / Moshi
100% Private 4x4

The Northern Triangle is the most complete short safari Tanzania offers. Three parks, three nights’ worth of material compressed into three days — not because the itinerary is rushed, but because Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara each deliver their key wildlife reliably within a single focused day. There are no thin days here, no parks that feel like obligatory stops on the way to somewhere better.
What makes this itinerary work is the logical sequence. Tarangire comes first, while energy is high and the drive is direct from Arusha or Moshi. Ngorongoro comes second, with a rim overnight that unlocks an early morning descent ahead of the day-trip convoy — the single most important logistical decision on any crater visit. Lake Manyara closes the loop on the third morning, close to home and rich with the ecological contrast that the baobab savanna and volcanic caldera cannot provide: dense forest, alkaline lake, tree-climbing lions, 400 bird species within a single drive.
The rim overnight deserves particular mention. Most travellers who visit Ngorongoro on a day trip from Karatu arrive after the access road opens and share the crater with a significant number of vehicles. Guests who sleep on the rim descend at first light — when the lions are still active, the light is golden, and the crater floor is empty. This is not a minor advantage. It is a fundamentally different experience of the same place.
Three parks. Two nights. No flights required. Private vehicle and senior guide throughout. All park fees, meals and accommodation included in your quoted price.
Home to over 4,000 elephants, with herds of 200–300 regularly seen along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees over 1,000 years old.
Africa’s most reliable Big Five destination — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the critically endangered black rhino all live permanently in the crater’s 260 km² caldera.
A globally unique wildlife behaviour — Manyara’s lions regularly rest in the branches of yellow fever acacia trees, with your guide knowing their favourite spots.
From Tarangire's dry savannah to the Crater's volcanic caldera to Manyara's alkaline lakeshore — a genuinely complete cross-section of Northern Tanzania in three days.
Park fees, conservation levies, fuel, guide, and all meals are included. No gate surprises.
Departing early from your base, enjoy a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the afternoon tracking the park's famous elephant herds along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees estimated to be over 1,000 years old, before continuing on to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for the night.
Descend into the breathtaking 600-metre-deep Ngorongoro Crater caldera for a full day of immersive wildlife tracking. This is your best opportunity to see the complete Big Five in a single day, including the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls in the late afternoon to overnight again on the rim.
Descend from the crater highlands into Lake Manyara National Park. Traverse the lush groundwater forest home to baboons and blue monkeys, before opening up to the expansive lake shores where flamingo flocks gather, keeping an eye on the acacia canopies for Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, begin your return journey to Arusha or Moshi.
