The 5-Day Northern Circuit is the most recommended version of Tanzania’s classic overland safari. It allocates enough time in each park to move past the obvious and into the extraordinary. Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire — these are not simply famous names. They represent three of the most biologically distinct and wildlife-rich ecosystems on the continent, each delivering a completely different experience, each capable of standing alone as the highlight of a much longer trip.
Three Serengeti nights means two complete, unhurried game drive days — not one full day sandwiched between a late arrival and an early departure. You have time to follow a leopard, wait on a cheetah hunt, and return to the same lion pride at dusk. A Ngorongoro rim overnight means a dawn crater descent ahead of the day-trip convoy — one of the most significant practical upgrades on any Northern Circuit itinerary.

Departing early from your base, enjoy a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the afternoon tracking the park's famous elephant herds along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees estimated to be over 1,000 years old, before overnighting near the park.
Depart Tarangire and drive across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, pausing at the crater rim viewpoint for a first glimpse into the caldera, before continuing on to the Serengeti. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the famous endless plains.
A full day dedicated to the Serengeti's central plains, with morning and afternoon game drives giving real time to search out lion prides, cheetah, and leopard, alongside the resident plains game that gives the park its name. Overnight again in the Serengeti.
A second full day in the Serengeti, exploring different sections of the park with your guide — whether that means following up on yesterday's sightings, tracking a nearby pride, or venturing further afield depending on where the wildlife is concentrated. Overnight again in the Serengeti.
Depart the Serengeti and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across the caldera floor, your best chance to see the complete Big Five in a single day, including the critically endangered black rhino. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin your return journey to Arusha or Moshi.

4WD Safari Vehicle: A custom safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for unobstructed game viewing and photography, used exclusively by your group.
Professional Guide: An experienced, English-speaking driver-guide with deep local knowledge of Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro.
Park & Conservation Fees: All Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance fees and conservation levies.
Meals & Accommodation
Lunchbox by Pangolin: A packed lunch provided during game drive days, so you don’t need to leave the park to eat.
Daily Water, Coffee & Tea: Provided throughout your safari, including in the vehicle during game drives.
Accommodation: Four nights’ accommodation at your selected tier (Mid-Range, Luxury, or Deluxe), including all meals at the lodge or camp.
Travel & Legal Expenses
International Flights: Flights to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or your point of origin.
Tanzanian Visa: Visa fees, which vary by nationality and are paid on arrival or in advance online.
Travel/Medical Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all safari bookings.

Tips: Gratuities for your driver-guide are customary and not included in the upfront price.
