7 Days / 6 Nights
Arusha / Moshi
100% Private 4x4
$ 2,100
The 7-Day Northern Circuit is the version of Tanzania’s classic safari where the itinerary stops being a schedule and starts being a journey. Seven days is enough time to follow a leopard for two mornings in a row, to sit with a lion pride through the full arc of a hunt, to wake up on the Ngorongoro rim and watch the caldera fill with morning light before you descend into it.
Tarangire opens the circuit on Day 1 — a full private game drive through elephant country, ancient baobab forest, and the Tarangire River wildlife corridor. Three consecutive Serengeti nights follow, giving two complete, unhurried game drive days across the Seronera big cat zone, the open southern plains, and the kopje rock formations of the central park. No time pressure, no mileage limits, no watching the clock.
Day 5 transitions to the Ngorongoro rim — a sundowner on the crater edge with the caldera glowing 600 metres below. Day 6 opens with a dawn descent into the caldera floor ahead of the day-trip convoy, followed by a final afternoon at Lake Manyara for the tree-climbing lions and flamingo-lined lake shore. Day 7 is the drive home to Arusha or Moshi.
Every park fee, conservation levy, game drive, meal, accommodation, and transfer is included. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.
Home to over 4,000 elephants, with herds of 200–300 regularly seen along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees over 1,000 years old.
Settle in with a comfortable first night in Arusha before heading into the bush — no rushing straight from the airport onto a game drive.
Real time to search the endless plains for lion, cheetah, and leopard across multiple game-drive days — enough time to let a sighting properly unfold.
Africa’s most reliable Big Five destination — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the critically endangered black rhino all live permanently in the crater’s 260 km² caldera.
The definitive introduction to Tanzania's signature safari route — three ecosystems, one seamless itinerary, no long overland detours.
Park fees, conservation levies, fuel, guide, and all meals are included. No gate surprises.
Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in with a relaxed first evening, a welcome briefing from your guide, and a good night's rest before heading into the bush the following morning.
Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Spend the afternoon tracking the park's famous elephant herds along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees estimated to be over 1,000 years old, before overnighting near the park.
Depart Tarangire and drive across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, pausing at the crater rim viewpoint for a first glimpse into the caldera, before continuing on to the Serengeti. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the famous endless plains.
A full day dedicated to the Serengeti's central plains, with morning and afternoon game drives giving real time to search out lion prides, cheetah, and leopard, alongside the resident plains game that gives the park its name. Overnight again in the Serengeti.
A second full day in the Serengeti, exploring different sections of the park with your guide — whether that means following up on yesterday's sightings, tracking a nearby pride, or venturing further afield depending on where the wildlife is concentrated. Overnight again in the Serengeti.
Depart the Serengeti and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across the caldera floor, your best chance to see the complete Big Five in a single day, including the critically endangered black rhino. Overnight on the crater rim.
Enjoy a relaxed morning at your crater rim lodge before beginning your return journey to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in time for your onward flight or next travel plans.
