This 2-day safari pairs Tarangire National Park — famous for its enormous elephant herds and ancient baobab trees — with a full day inside the Ngorongoro Crater, the most reliable place on Earth to see the Big Five in a single game drive.
It’s an efficient, high-impact short break for travelers on a tighter schedule, or a natural add-on before or after a longer Serengeti safari or a Kilimanjaro climb.

Departing early from your base, enjoy a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the afternoon tracking the park's famous elephant herds along the Tarangire River, weaving between ancient baobab trees estimated to be over 1,000 years old, before continuing on to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for the night.
Descend into the breathtaking 600-metre-deep Ngorongoro Crater caldera for an immersive day of wildlife tracking. This is your best opportunity to see the complete Big Five in a single day, including the endangered black rhino. Following a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, ascend the crater walls and begin your return journey back to Arusha or Moshi.
Vehicle, Guide & Park Fees
4WD Safari Vehicle: A custom safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for unobstructed game viewing and photography, used exclusively by your group.
Professional Guide: An experienced, English-speaking driver-guide with deep local knowledge of both Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Park & Conservation Fees: All Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance fees and conservation levies.
Meals & Accommodation
Lunchbox by Pangolin: A packed lunch provided during game drive days, so you don’t need to leave the park to eat.
Daily Water, Coffee & Tea: Provided throughout your safari, including in the vehicle during game drives.
Accommodation: One night’s accommodation at your selected tier (Mid-Range, Luxury, or Deluxe), including all meals at the lodge or camp.
Travel & Legal Expenses
International Flights: Flights to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or your point of origin.
Tanzanian Visa: Visa fees, which vary by nationality and are paid on arrival or in advance online.
Travel/Medical Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all safari bookings.
