You don’t need a week-long expedition to set foot on Kilimanjaro. This full-day hike follows the first stage of the famous Marangu Route — the “Coca-Cola Route” — through dense montane rainforest to Mandara Hut at 2,700m, with an optional side trip to the Maundi Crater viewpoint.
It’s a genuine taste of Kilimanjaro National Park, a good fitness test ahead of a full climb, and a manageable adventure for families or travelers on a tighter schedule.
