Tour Overview

Materuni Waterfalls & Chagga Coffee Tour

Materuni is a Chagga village tucked into Kilimanjaro’s southern foothills, 15km from Moshi, home to an 80-metre waterfall and generations of traditional coffee farming. This half-day excursion combines a guided hike through banana and coffee plantations to the falls with a hands-on coffee tour — from picking the beans to roasting, grinding, and brewing your own cup.

It’s an easy, low-altitude day that works well as a gentle warm-up before a Kilimanjaro climb, a relaxed recovery day afterward, or a cultural add-on to any safari itinerary.
